Insurance & Cancellation Policy

INSURANCE

At this time, I am not participating on any insurance panels. This allows me to provide high-quality services that meet your personal needs rather than those of the insurance company. I am also able to provide services without having to give you a diagnosis that will stay on your permanent record.

This means you will pay for sessions out of pocket and seek potential reimbursement from your insurance. Depending on your plan, you may receive full, partial, or no reimbursement, so I highly recommend you contact your insurance about your plan first. Try asking the following questions to check your coverage carefully:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • Would they reimburse me for services provided by an "out-of-network provider"?

You may also use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA).

CANCELLATION POLICY

I understand that emergencies happen, especially when children are involved. Please communicate if you are running late. If you provide notice of your lateness, the session will still end at the original scheduled time and you are responsible for payment of the full session fee. Please be mindful of the below policies:

  • I require 12 hours advanced notice if you are unable to attend the appointment.

  • If you are more than 10 minutes late to your scheduled session, you will be considered a no show, the session will be considered cancelled, and you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the session.

  • If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment and have not provided 12 hours’ notice, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.

  • If you are unable to provide 12 hours’ notice but reschedule your appointment within the same week, you will pay the original fee at the time of service. You will not be charged for the original missed appointment when you attend your rescheduled appointment within the same week (Monday-Sunday).
